Reader’s response to our book review approach

James Nixon |
Sometimes it is important for the cricket web to check with our members to make sure that we are on the right track. Recently, we did it via an article published on July 22, which explored the way our criticisms should manage errors in the books they assess, whether factual errors, grammatical shifts or simple typing faults.
We have described several approaches, to completely ignore it errors to highlight them carefully, and revised these options on August 22.
The reader’s response was limited, but the comments we received – and the silence of most – suggest that our community is largely comfortable with the way our examiners are currently balance these problems.
For the moment, no change is planned: our examiners will continue to use their judgment to decide in the best way to manage the errors they encounter.
