Ravindra Jadeja was given an aggressive shrug by the umpire as he attempted to tamper with the ball.

Ravindra Jadeja caused a bit of fun in the gloom of the morning in Guwahati, tapping the ball with his finger to send it across the ring in a humorous manner. Referee Rod Tucker has received the ball and his condition requires a change.
India advance to Day 2 of the Guwahati Test. The course of the second match was quite different from the first, providing a good balance between bowling and batting conditions. The Indian bowlers did a remarkable job and so did the Proteas who batted throughout the first day’s play.
Umpire Rod Tucker ignored Ravindra Jadeja’s hand
At the start of the second day, the ball showed some originality. The second new ball was collected by India in the dying moments of the first day’s play. With less than 2 full overs bowled with the new ball, Mohammed Siraj ended the day with the game-changing wicket of Tony de Zorzi.
Your daily dose of cricket!
After just 12 overs bowled with the new ball, the ball became disfigured and Mohammed Siraj handed it to umpire Rod Tucker.
When Tucker tried to force it through the ball-shaped ring, Ravindra Jadeja, in his quirky way, pecked the ball with his fingers. Referee Tucker shrugged during a fun and engaging exchange.
