Rashriders can drop the cutting edge of the playoffs against the lark in difficulty

With almost two months before the start of the LCF qualifiers, the Saskatchewan Roughriders are a victory for their post-season ticket.
Saskatchewan can get there on Saturday evening when she welcomes the Montreal Alouettes in difficulty in Regina.
At 10-2, the Roughriders have a two-game advance on the idle Calgary to the west. They come out of a Winnipeg home scan, including a 21-13 victory last week in the annual banjo bowl.
“If I told you about our goal sheet to win 10 games, I would lie to you,” said the Saskatchewan, Trevor Harris quarter. “It’s great where we are right now, but it only means that we have given ourselves the right to be 10-2 at the moment.”
Harris is part of the season that Roughriders are stamped on the League. The 13 -year -old veteran launched for 3,153 yards and 19 touched, putting him for 200 for his career. AJ Ouellette has 852 yards on the ground, third in the league and five scores.
Defensively, Saskatchewan has limited five opponents to less than 20 points. This includes the game of runners on August 2 in Montreal, where they published the 34-6 larks, keeping them out of the goal area.
It was the first of the five consecutive defeats for Montreal (5-7), which has only one match in front of Ottawa and Toronto for second place in the East. The team only has an average of 13.6 ppg in this section because it played without the quarter-Arrière Davis Alexander (ischio-legs).
Alexander is again on Saturday evening, leaving the veteran McLeod Bethel-Thompson to start in his place. Bethel-Thompson was largely ineffective before being sidelined with an elbow injury, but James Morgan could not provide a spark for SLA.
“He won for us and he is a veteran of the league,” said Montreal coach Jason Maas. “This veteran presence, you do not buy. He was dealing with things and played at the same time. I am grateful that the chronology is good for us.”
