Raphinha Splowing Rashford Challenge in Barcelona

Raphinha admitted that he is impatiently awaiting the challenge of competing with Marcus Rashford this season, saying that the move of the England of England of Manchester United will only strengthen the attacks of the Catalan club.

Rashford joined earlier this month in an agreement for a season, adding to an already starred avant-garde line with Raphinha, the Yamal blade star and veteran striker Robert Lewandowski.

Addressing Diario Sport, the Brazilian winger clearly indicated that he is hosting the increased struggle for the departure places.

“When you play with this jersey, with this club, you have to prepare for all the competitions.

“In my opinion, the more competition we have, the better. This means that helping other progress and it is the most important thing if we want to earn titles. ”

Record season

Raphinha experienced a sensational campaign last year, which he described as the best of his career to date. In 56 games in all competitions in all competitions, he contributed 34 goals and 25 assists, helping Barça to obtain a domestic hat -trick from Laliga, Copa Del Rey and the Spanish Supercopa.

The 28-year-old was particularly devastating in Europe, scoring 13 goals and establishing nine others in 14 games from the Champions League while the Hansi Flick team reached the semi-finals.

“I always try to find my best training in training, games, the season,” he said. “I tried this last season, it was better than the previous one, and I will try for this coming season as better as the previous one.”

Ambition of the Champions League

Despite their interior domination, the expectation of Barcelona for another title of the Champions League continues – their last success occurred in 2015. For Raphinha, winning the competition has become a personal mission.

“The Champions League is a personal challenge in my career,” he admitted.

“It is also a club goal, to win our sixth Champions League title. I, in particular, will do everything possible to get there. And I am sure that players think the same.”

Long -term future at Camp Nou

Earlier this summer, Raphinha extended his contract within an additional year, committing to the club until 2028. Asked if he could be stayed beyond that date, the Brazilian left the door open.

“If the club is satisfied with me, I will stay here as long as possible,” he said.

“Obviously, if I see that I do not play my best or that I no longer contribute enough, I am also aware that it will be time to leave. But, for the moment, I think that I am well and in good physical and tactical shape too.”
