Jennifer Aniston does not want to adopt children despite her infertility problems.

During an appearance in an early access episode of Wondery+ from Armchair expert podcast, The morning show The star, 56, revealed the reason she was never interested in adoption.

Aniston has previously spoken openly about her struggles with infertility, including in vitro fertilization (IVF) and the point where she no longer thinks about pregnancy.

The topic of adoption came up after co-host Monica Padman spoke about her experience freezing her eggs.

After Padman said she was undecided about whether she wanted kids, noting that “maybe it’s okay if I don’t,” she asked Aniston if she found “peace” in being on the other side.

“It’s so peaceful,” Aniston responded. “But I will say there’s a point where it’s out of my control. There’s literally nothing I can do about it.”

“When people say, ‘But you can adopt,’ I don’t want to adopt,” she continued. “I want my own DNA in a little person. It’s the only way, selfish or not, whatever it was, I wanted it.”

Although Aniston said it was something she really didn’t want to talk about, she admitted that there were times when she met someone and thought they “would have made good kids.” However, it’s a feeling that will “pass in three seconds.”

The actress said it’s something you end up romanticizing after being “on the other side because it’s out of your control.”

In a 2022 interview with Seduce, Aniston said she has “no regrets” about how things went after her fertility journey “several years ago.”
