EXCLUSIVE: More Americans maintain rather than opposing Israeli air strikes on Iranian nuclear installations, according to a new national survey conducted before the attack on Israel on Friday against Iran.
But the investigation, published by the Ronald Reagan Institute, indicates that most Democrats and Republicans do not see eyes on the issue.
According to the survey, which was shared for the first time with Fox News on Friday, 45% of those questioned declared that they would support Israel performing targeted air strikes against Iran’s nuclear installations if diplomatic efforts between the United States and Iran fail.
Thirty-seven percent declared having opposed Israeli air strikes, with 18% uncertain.

But the survey indicates a partisan fracture.
Six out of 10 Republicans said they support the air strikes, but this support dropped 35% among the self -employed and 32% among Democrats.
Twenty-seven percent of the Republicans opposed the Israeli air strikes, with a third of the independents and just over half of the Democrats have opposed.
The survey was carried out before Israel’s unprecedented attack on Iran, called “Rising Lion Operation”, which included strikes both on the Islamic State nuclear program and the military chiefs.
