Rams QB Matthew Stafford visits the specialist, remains absent

Matthew Stafford will apparently remain an observer for a while.
The Rams star quarterrier, which did not practice during the training camp due to a back number, will train “probably” on Sunday during the final training at Loyola Marymount, will not participate in Tuesday’s joint practice with the Dallas Cowboys, and its availability for a joint practice with the loaders the following week will be determined, said the coach Sean Mcvay.
Stafford, 37, saw Dr. Steven Watkins again on Saturday, said Mcvay.
Mcvay reiterated that Stafford was “week to week”.
“What I don’t want to do is define a calendar,” said Mcvay. “I know he makes good progress. He saw Dr. Watkins again. … everything is in good shape. “
Good shape?
Mcvay does not play leaving in pre-season matches, so joint practices are considered by ninth year coach as an instrumental to assess young players and progress by the offensive, the defense and the special teams.
Stafford, entering his 17th season, worked with the new receiver Davante Adams during the off -season training sessions. But he has not yet worked on timing with triple all-pro during a padded practice at full speed.
Veteran Jimmy Groppolo continues to take representatives from the first team in place of Stafford, and Stetson Bennett directs the offense of the second unit while the Rams are preparing for their first game on September 7 against the Texans of Houston at the Sofi stadium.
“I can’t wait to get Matthew here by opening the way,” said Mcvay, adding that Stafford had felt the same thing. “But in the meantime, Stetson and Jimmy do a very good job to continue to improve and use these representatives to their advantage.”
Stafford was one of the many players who did not train on Saturday.
End Rookie comes out Terrance Ferguson (groin) and the defensive line Kobie Turner (rear) sat. Second Nate Landman (calf) has left the practice as a precaution, said Mcvay.
But the continuous absence of staff of the field exercises continues to be the dominant scenario of a team which will be considered as a legitimate competitor of the Super Bowl if he is physically solid. And a question mark – at least in attack – if it is not.
After practicing with the cowboys in Oxnard, the Rams and the Cowboys will play on Saturday at the Sofi stadium. The Rams play the loaders at the Sofi stadium on August 16, and they concluded the pre-season on August 23 against the Browns in Cleveland.
The Rams then have two weeks to prepare for the Texans.
Etc.
The safety of Lake Quentin intercepted another tilting pass. Security Jaylen McCollough has also intercepted a pass. … the tight winger Colby Parkinson took a hand -hit in one hand. … Bennett connected with the recruit recruit Konata Mumpfield on several impressive games. “It’s a mature recruit,” said Mcvay about Humpfield. “He is a guy who is wired to be able to separate. … He continues to be able to respond to the bell with the opportunities he has obtained.” … The former Rams defensive line player, Aaron Donald, attended the practice.
