RAM Brand to participate in the NASCAR TRUCK series in 2026

Dawson Sutton (26) and Matt Crafton (88) from the NASCAR DAWSON SUTTON series (26) and Matt CRAFON (88) during the Rackley Roofing 200 in Nashville Superspeedway in Lebanon, Tenn., Friday, May 30, 2025.

RAM will return to the Nascar Truck Series competition in 2026.

The brand, then largely under the ownership of Dodge, won three manufacturers’ championships (2001, 2003-04) and two pilot titles – Bobby Hamilton (2004) and Ted Musgrave (2005) – when he previously contributed to the series of trucks.

The announcement was made before the event of the Cup series on Sunday in Michigan International Speedway.

Chevrolet, Ford and Toyota are currently manufacturing competitors in the truck series.

RAM, which is now part of the world manufacturer Stellantis, has not had a truck in a Nascar race since 2013. The last truck to reach the circuit was Toyota Tundra in 2004.

“I know it is something we have been talking about for a long time, and it is something that we cannot do very often,” said John Probst, executive vice-president of Nascar and director of racing development, the introduction of a new truck. “I think the last time we did was over 20 years ago when Toyota entered our sport, so it’s something that is a great moment for all our sport and our existing competitors, new potential competitors, our [original equipment manufacturers]. “”

Tim Kuniskis, CEO of RAM, said hopes should have at least four rams at the opening of the 2026 season in Daytona International Speedway. RAM is looking for at least one team partnership.

“We are looking for a date at the ball right now,” said Kuniskis.

Probst said he was planning that RAM will be “aggressive enough to align a good team in their camp to go execute their banner”, adding ongoing discussions with other manufacturers to add other brands to the grid in the future.
