San Francisco – While he was preparing to face his former team barely five days after being exchanged, the knock of San Francisco Giants Rafael Devers wants to leave things in the past with regard to the Boston Red Sox.
But he gave an overview of his feelings when he was asked Friday why he would plan to play the first goal for the giants when he refused to do it for the Red Sox.
“I have set up good figures in Boston and I have the impression of having gained a little respect,” said devers by an interpreter. “If they had asked me at the start of spring training, yes, I would have played [first]. “”
Of course, at the time, the Red Sox had no opening to the first goal, because Triston Casas was only injured about a month in the season. But the overall damage had been caused.
The lack of communication between the parties has apparently led to astonishing trade, and now only three games in his career with San Francisco, Devers must face his former teammates in a series of weekends in Oracle Park.
“Everything that has happened, has happened,” said Devers. “But they are always my friends.”
Devers in fact could see his friends after their arrival in town on Thursday, but early Friday afternoon, he had not seen or spoke to the Manager Alex Cora. He is convinced that he will do it.

“I don’t want to talk about the past,” said Devers. “I have nothing good or trouble saying about Alex. I just want to leave everything in the past.”
Cora approached when he availability of the pre-match media, saying: “There are a lot of things that Rafy has done for us that we are going to miss. We are very proud of him.”
When asked if the two should clean the air on anything, Cora replied: “Erase the air on what? It is a job. It’s baseball. It’s a business. This is how it works.
“It is not the first guy who was exchanged. He is not the last guy. People have their opinion on the whole. Communication, first goal, DH, third base, the manager, the director general, the owner, whatever a baseball business. From my end, I turn the page.”
We then asked Cora if he was “surprised” in the first goal, to which the manager offered a succinct, “no.”
Devers admitted that it was a “long week” but he feels more relaxed and even happy now. Friday, it was 3 for 11 with two balls on balls and four stick withdrawals for its new team, which desperately needed its presence in its programming.
Devers, beating third and serving as a designated striker from the giants, received a standing ovation before his first At-Bat against the Red Sox. He finished and finished match 0 for 5 with a removal in the stick while San Francisco lost 7-5.
Finally, he will see time at the first goal – but only when he is ready.

“I really don’t want to talk about it,” he said. “I want to concentrate what is in the future for me.”
