Netflix to buy Warner Bros? Paramount Skydance would have competition from the streaming giant

In June, reports emerged that Warner Bros. Provided for a restructuring that would see the company separated into two companies would contain its studio and its assets in streaming (HBO, Max, Warner Bros. Television & Motion Pictures, and DC Studios) and the other company would house its linear / cable networks (CNN, TNT, Discovery, etc.).
The split is targeted for completion by mid-201.
Shortly after, the newly merged studio Paramount Skydance (supported by the founder of Oracle Larry Ellison) became a probable candidate for the purchase of WB’s studio and streaming assets. In the case of this news, the equity prices of the two companies have increased.
Now it seems that there is another competitor who joins the race, according to Puck – none other than Netflix!
However, fans are somewhat worried about news, because Netflix is definitely a film of streaming and streaming cinema, which could lead to DC Studios to become a brand only in streaming.

The streaming side and WBD studios is worth about 65 billion dollars, thanks to IP like the heroes and bad guys from DC Comics, Harry Potter, the Lord of the Rings and a crowd of other smaller franchises.
Supported by the richness of Larry Ellison, Paramount Skydance should make a full cash offer, which would have greatly interested the CEO of WBD, David Zaslav.
On the other hand, Netflix was opened in its strategic passage, simple content of the construction of a library of powerful franchises. Said the co -PDG Ted Sarandos previously, “… You need much more than a great success from time to time. … It is not so one is. It is a regular drum of shows and films – and, soon, games that our members really like and continue to expect.”
In a separate interview, the co -founder of Netflix, Reed Hastings, described the creation of a “competitive ditch” of powerful IP and franchises – which prevents subscribers from leaving for other competitors in streaming due to the loyalty and enthusiasm of what Netflix has to offer.
In recent years, Netflix has had a little trouble creating such a powerful intellectual property with original content, which makes plausible theory that the streamer can choose to buy his major franchise instead of building it.
There is also the question of what happens to the list of current films and television of Warner Bros. After an acquisition, especially with DC Studios. David Zaslav gave James Gunn and Peter Safran free reference to do as he seems, but all this could change if Gunn and Safran suddenly find themselves responding to a new boss, in particular the one who favors streaming on theatrical outings.
