Sherilyn Fenn has not really carried out the most emblematic moment of Audrey Twin Peaks

“Twin Peaks”, like almost any work of fire, Grand David Lynch, contains multitudes. Even the most classified and simplest episodes of the Mystery TV Memier series are filled to the brim with memorable moments and strange events. And when the show gets Really Weird – “Twin Peaks: The Return” Part 8, take a knot – no quantity of overhaul and explanators can tell you with each secret wrapped inside. Lynch, after all, was a very unorthodox artist; The genre whose only condition for making “Twin Peaks: The Return” was a fixed budget and no counting of a defined episode, which was equivalent to what is actually an 18 -hour art film divided into individual episodes.

The great thing about “Twin Peaks” is that even some of its most deactivated and relaxed moments are memorable enough to become classics. Take the scene where Audrey Horne (Sherilyn Fenn) goes under cover as a new employee of the brothel One Eyed Jacks, and attaches a cherry rod in a Bretzel style knot with her language to convince the Madame (Victoria Catlin) to hire her. This takes place in season 1 of “Twin Peaks”, episode 6 (“realization time”), and is easily one of the moments of Audrey determinants.

However, behind the scenes, Fenn was not particularly enthusiastic about the trick of the cherry stem. In an interview with The Av Club, she revealed that she had not made the act herself, even noting that she was surprised to discover that the STEM tip is reasonably well known:

“No. I thought it was silly! I didn’t understand why we did it. I said to myself:” No one does that! “And they said,” Yes, they do it at university “, Bla Bla Bla. No idea.”

As Fenn said in her interview with The Av Club, the vision of Audrey Horne’s Lynch was based on Fenn herself, only filtered through Lynch’s own vision without compromise, which could sometimes be strangely exact. The choice of fenn for the moment the most important Audrey, in fact, is the one where the character puts a pencil through a cup of polystyrene coffee and removes it in the pilot episode “Twin Peaks”. It is specifically because it was the kind of thing that she could do very much:

“”[Audrey] was from whom she was because of [Lynch]. What you have read on a piece of paper is one thing, but when I happened, they couldn’t find saddle shoes, and it is like, ‘ to have To have saddle shoes! And you see that there are these certain things that are so specific to him. One of the greatest things, however, was to take this pencil in the cup of coffee. [Laughs.] One of my two older brothers was like: “It’s so like you!” He meets me, this stranger, and sees something, knows what it is and puts it. It was really a bit cool. “”

As memorable as it can be, the Cherry Stem Trick does not indeed be classified among Fenn’s favorite personal moments. It may be because it was not particularly like her, while some of the other things that Audrey struck much closer to their home.
