PWHL expansion franchises reveal colors and uniforms

PWHL Seattle was announced as the league’s eighth franchise and will begin play with the 2025-2026 season.

The latest teams to enter the Professional Women’s Hockey League – PWHL Seattle and PWHL Vancouver – unveiled their home and away jerseys, as well as their team colors, on Tuesday, a month before the expansion clubs’ home opener.

The names of each team’s cities are sewn diagonally across the front of the sweaters, similar to what the league’s top six teams wore in their inaugural season.

The team names and logos are expected to be introduced before the start of the season next month and integrated into uniform designs for the 2026-27 season.

“As we welcome Seattle and Vancouver to the league, we wanted their jerseys to prominently feature each city’s name on the front, allowing fans to immediately identify with their hometown’s new professional team,” said Amy Scheer, PWHL executive vice president of business operations. “These designs also connect our expansion teams to the league’s foundations while continuing to build their own traditions and connections to the community.”

Seattle’s franchise colors — officially described as “deep slate green and cream with river blue accent” — mimic the blue and green theme used by other professional sports teams in the city.

The Vancouver franchise adopted “pacific blue and cream with an earthy bronze accent” as its color scheme.

Seattle and Vancouver will face off in each franchise’s first game on November 21 at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver.
