Invincible obtains the renewal from the start of season 5; Matthew Rhys joins season 4

Some good news for Invincible Fans here!
We are still in a little time of the first in season 4 of 2026, but Prime Video clearly has all confidence in the longevity of the show, and has now announced that the adult animated series has been renewed for a fifth season.
The streamer has also revealed that Matthew Rhys (the Americans, Perry Mason) joined the distribution of the voice 4, but his role is held under the Wraps. Could it be Thragg, maybe?
So yes, it is the legendary Matthew Rhys, joining the seasons 4 and 5 as [REDACTED BY THE GDA]

Mark Grayson almost met his end in the hands of the bloodthirsty villain (even for a viltruct) known as Conquest, but he will come up against an even more difficult opponent in season 4: Grand Regent Thragg.
There are a number of incredibly powerful characters in the world of InvincibleBut many fans would consider Thragg as at least among the most formidable. Kirkman previously confirmed that Thragg had been sunk.
“I mean, it would certainly be weird if [Thragg] I did not appear in the show. Yeah. I mean, I don’t know. It’s so difficult. Here’s what I’m going to say: he was thrown, and he is incredible. “”
Season 4 will also include a scenario that has not played on the page, which we had a little suspicion when the Demonic Detective Damien Darkblood returned to the post-key scene of the recent final to invoke a more powerful demon (the devil himself?) Expressed by Bruce Campbell.
“In the comics, he was never sent to hell,” Kirkman says of the unexpected return of Darkblood. “He was a great character that we loved in the first season. The representation of Clancy Brown of him was perfect and so great. We always wanted to find a way to bring Damian Darkblood back in the series, then – my God, I want to spoil this? There is a scenario of the comic strip that I never did. I never managed to do anything in invincible.
When asked if Campbell expresses THE Satan, Kirkman says: “Could be the devil. Could be. We will just have to see. Maybe I shouldn’t have spoiled it.”
Earlier this week, Yeun received an Emmy nomination for the performance of the exceptional voice for the show, especially for his work on the seventh episode of season 3, “What did I do?”
