PITTSBURGH – Frederik Andersen is expected to be in net for the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday when the team takes on the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Looking for his first win since November 6, the 36-year-old hopes to end a seven-game streak that has seen him go 0-5-2. A necessary move after Brandon Bussi’s game last night, the Canes are hoping Andersen can find his rhythm with Pyotr Kochetkov likely out for the year.
Facing him, the Canes once again expect to be without stars Shayne Gostisbéhere, Seth JarvisAnd Jacob Slavin.
In a season that has already racked up 168 lost games for the team, Gostisbehere is the latest to join the injured list, once again hampered by a lower body injury.
