While she moved to the Beverly Hills set of her cover of cover, Priscilla Presley has been making a surprising confession: she lived in the public’s eyes since she met Elvis Presley for the first time in 1959, when she was only 14 years old, but even now at 80, she is still not used to reading the titles of her famous family.
“There are so many things that are lie – things like Elvis are still alive and hidden somewhere, all of the way the family fights,” she said. “I want to clarify certain things.”

During almost an hour, Priscilla does exactly that: no, Elvis is not always alive, even if she wishes. And no, she does not quarrel with her granddaughter Riley Keough, 36, whose mother, the only child of Elvis, Lisa Marie Presley, died in 2023 at the age of 54.
“Riley and I never had a problem,” said Priscilla. “I just have a battle, and it’s with a certain person.”

Although she has no precision, it is clear that she is talking about her former trading partner Brigitte Kruse. Kruse and another former trading partner, Kevin Fialko, continue the star for $ 50 million, alleging fraud and breach of contract; Priscilla pursues them as well as others, alleging financial abuses against her and the flight of $ 1 million.
In their trial, Kruse and Fialko accuse Priscilla of having withdrawn Lisa Marie de Life Support to regain control of the Elvis domain (which Riley supervises as a single heir), an affirmation that Priscilla’s lawyer calls “contemptible”.
“I know there are a lot there that I did this in Lisa, I did that in Lisa,” said Priscilla now. “There are a lot of people who didn’t want Lisa to be close. We were very close. Lisa could be hard, but I wouldn’t be sometimes. We had a lot of good times together.”

The trial also alleges the tension between Priscilla and Riley after the death of Lisa Marie, which the two criticized in a joint declaration on September 5 as “false” and “deeply hurtful”.
“We are very close,” explains Priscilla. “We support each other.”
Priscilla says that she found great joy in her role as a great-grandmother towards Riley and the two children of her husband Ben Smith-Petersen: her daughter Tupelo, 3 years old, and another child confirms that the couple welcomed earlier this year.
“I love her babies,” she says. “I’m really happy for Riley. She has an incredible husband and two big children, so I’m very happy for her.”

“This is what makes me happy: knowing that everyone is fine,” continues Priscilla. “I feel like I live a good life.”
More than ever, Priscilla is ready to regain control of her story. In his new revealing memories Gently, as I leave you: life after ElvisOn September 23, Priscilla went deep into the turmoil that she faced in the years when Elvis – which she divorced in 1973 – died at the age of 42 in 1977. Among her most difficult days, the death of Lisa Marie.
“It was the second saddest day of my life, except to lose Elvis,” explains Priscilla. “It took a long time to reconcile with the fact that Lisa had disappeared.”
Priscilla says that she and the family were in the hospital with Lisa Marie “all day”.
“Lisa really didn’t breathe, so she was on the fan,” she said. “For hours, we were waiting, hoping and praying until the doctor enters and said:” Priscilla, I am really sorry, she left. “We just couldn’t believe – I didn’t want to believe it.

Priscilla writes in her book that she had to make the difficult decision to withdraw Lisa Marie from life.
“They had restarted Lisa’s heart, but there was no guarantee that he would continue to beat,” she wrote. “I asked the doctor:” What kind of life will she have if we keep it on this machine? “He looked at me with compassion and shook his head.
“I thought of my daughter, my wild, rebellious and passionate daughter, lying in a vegetative state for the rest of her life,” she continues. “I said what I owed.” Remove it from the machine, doctor. “My voice was barely over a whisper.”

Not only Priscilla recounts the last moments of her daughter, but she also addressed her mourning for her grandson, Lisa’s son, Benjamin Keough, after his death by suicide at 27 years old in 2020 and helping her 38-year-old son, Navarone (whom she shares with ex Marco Garibaldi) to be cleaned.
“It was not easy at all,” explains Priscilla. “But you have to find strength.”
Despite all that she overcome, Priscilla does not intend to slow down. In fact, her staff always calls him the Energizer rabbit.
“I don’t stop,” she said. “I can’t feel 80 at all. If anything, I feel 25 years old. I always drive, take care of me, assures me that everyone is fine. I don’t really think about the age – when I am 90, maybe I will do it.”
