Golshifteh Farahani to receive the Locarno Excellence Prize

Golshifteh Farahani will be celebrated in Locarno with Excellence Davide Campari.
Farahani will receive the price on August 6. She will also present her latest film, Alpha by Julia Ducournau, at the festival.
Born in Tehran in 1983, Farahani’s revolutionary role was in The Pear Tree of Dariush Mehrjui (1998), which won her the prize for best actress at the Fajr International Film Festival.
