Prince William, Kate Middleton and their children spread joy this Christmas

Prince William and Kate, Princess of Wales, along with their three children, Princes George and Louis and Princess Charlotte, spread holiday cheer on Christmas morning.

The Welsh family joined King Charles III, Queen Camilla and other members of the British royal family on Thursday as they marched to St. Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham for the Christmas Day service. In keeping with tradition, members of the royal family greeted people who braved the cold to gather along the path leading to the church.

Conspicuously absent from the public family meeting again was Charles’ brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was stripped of his title of “prince” by Charles in October amid a To fall of his relationship with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has denied any wrongdoing.

But Andrew’s daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, joined the family for church on Thursday, along with their respective husbands, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank.

Andrew, Beatrice, Eugenie and Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson did not walk with the family last year.

Under Charles’s orders, Mountbatten-Windsor was stripped of all his “style, titles and honours” and was forced to leaving his long-time royal residence on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

Andrew, one of Charles’ three siblings, also did not walk to the Christmas Day service with members of the royal family last year. By this time, Andrew was no longer a working royal, but had already joined the royal family celebrating Christmas at Sandringham since losing his military titles and royal patronages in 2022.

How the British royal family celebrates Christmas

Every year at Christmas, members of the royal family gather for a multi-day celebration at Sandringham, the king’s estate in Norfolk, England.

After going to church together on Christmas morning, the family has lunch at Sandringham before watching the king deliver his annual televised Christmas message.

In the evening, family members gather again for a Christmas dinner buffet.

On Boxing Day, known as Boxing Day in the United Kingdom, the royal family traditionally takes part in a pheasant hunting session on the grounds of Sandringham.
