EXCLUSIVE: Prime Video was on a real Spree of Doc Crime, acquiring a trio of Firecrest films documentaries on Shannon Matthews, the assassin of Orkney and a Tinder predator.
Orkney assassin The example Sunday followed later this year by Hunting in Shannon Matthews And Hunt the tinder predator.
The 90 -minute feature film on the group of Scottish islands began in a summer evening in 1994 when a masked man calmly in the only Indian restaurant in the remote islands and pulled a dead server before disappearing in the night. The murder is not resolved for years, until new evidence appears, causing an unexpected arrest that has amazed the local community.
Hunting in Shannon Matthews tells the story of one of the best-known real crime cases in Great Britain, about a girl who disappeared on the way back of the school. The documentary explores its disappearance, the police investigation to locate it as well as the response in its local community and beyond.
Finally, Hunt the tinder predator highlights Christopher Harkins, who was sentenced last year to 12 years for the crimes of rape to fraud after a decade of delinquent stimulated by online meetings. The two -part series explores the actions of Harkins, the attitudes of the company and the legal system, and the obstinate determination of a group of women who have fought to obtain justice.
We are told that the Amazon Streamer bought six Firecrest programs in all, with three other sets to be revealed in the coming weeks. Prime Video has been looking into the real criminal space for a few years and regularly acquires documents.
