Crystal Palace are set to complete a transfer deal for Bayern Munich right-back Sacha Boey amid some doubts over the future of Daniel Munoz.

As reported here recently, Munoz is a target for Chelsea after impressing at Selhurst Park, so it could be that the Eagles need a replacement soon.

Boey hasn’t quite lived up to Bayern’s expectations, but he has been on Palace’s radar before and could be again, according to Football Insider.

The article also mentions Manchester United’s interest in Munoz and quotes former Red Devils scout Mick Brown discussing a possible move by Palace to sign Boey.

Sacha Boey tipped for move to Crystal Palace

Brown appears confident that Palace will be interested in Boey in January and has maintained that the Frenchman would be a great fit for Oliver Glasner’s side.

“Crystal Palace will be one of the clubs interested in Boey,” Brown said.

He added: “Boey plays in a position where Palace are looking to strengthen, and he’s someone they’ve been aware of for a while.

“If he doesn’t really do it for Bayern Munich, maybe they think he would be better suited to Palace.

“They have a knack for getting the best out of this type of player, so if he becomes available I’m sure it will be something they will look to explore in January.”

It will be interesting to see this come to fruition, and whether it means Munoz is indeed heading out of the Palace.

Chelsea and Man Utd will no doubt be keeping an eye on this as they would do well to add the impressive Colombia international to their squads.
