Premier League expenses reach 3 billion pounds sterling in a record transfer window

The Premier League clubs spent a record of 3 billion pounds Sterling this summer while Deaddline Day finally saw the completion of the Liverpool record signing of 125 million pounds sterling by Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.

The figure, as estimated by the finance company Deloitte, broke the previous record of 2.36 billion pounds sterling there were two summer.

Liverpool spent more than 400 million pounds sterling in the window, a record for a Premier League club, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and the former Isak Newcastle club, all breaking the 200 million pound barrier.
