Major League Baseball has published the 2025 earlier schedule calendar earlier during the day, with the first games of the playoffs starting on Tuesday, September 30. All this leads to Game One of the World Series, which will be played on Friday, October 24.
After the end of the regular season, on September 28, the Wild Card series will take place from September 30 to October 2, if necessary. From there, the NLDS and ALDS will start on October 4 with four games and will continue until October 11, with any necessary match scheduled for October 10 and 11.
The championship series will follow a different schedule. The first Alcs match will be played on October 12. Then, the NLCS will start on October 13, with the second match of the Alcs scheduled for the same day. If the Alcs be decided in seven games, this competition will be played on October 20. Meanwhile, a potential match seven in the NLCS will take place on October 21.
Finally, the champions of the AL and the champions of the NL will have at least two days off before meeting for the first match of the World Series on October 24. After the 2-3-2 format, games one and two of the World Series will take place on October 24 and 25. The three, four and five (if necessary) matches will take place on October 27, 28 and 29. If the fall classic needs a six and / or seven match, these competitions will be played on October 31 and November 1.
