Nearly 7,000 people are in darkness while the region is experiencing a storm tonight.
According to an update on the NV Energy Putages page, 6,696 customers north of Sun Valley, near the Indian colony of Reno-Sparks, are faced with a power failure.
There is no estimate at the moment when power is restored.
No cause has been reported – it is currently under investigation.
