Preamble
The equation is not particularly easy for Portugal. They must beat Belgium and hope that Spain will do the same in Italy. To make things more complicated, they need a swing of six goals to go to second position. How difficult can it be?
Portugal was quite disappointing in its first match, obtaining a little shoing by Spain and followed with 70 mild minutes against Italy before coming to life as they hunted a goal. They must keep the momentum taken in these last steps, be more direct and aggressive to give themselves a chance here.
Belgium plays for pride and – to a lesser extent – to help Italy. Spain will be more than happy to steam the Italians, so the margins could be tight at the end of 90 minutes.
