Leeds submits an offer to sign 13 million pounds sterling star

Leeds United does not spoil in their efforts to build a team that can avoid being relegated from the Premier League in the first time next season.

It is clear that Daniel Farke and the recruitment team have put as soon as the strengthening of the defense, because three of the four summer signatures of the club so far are defenders.

Leeds officially ended the signature of the international rear of the international left of Sweden Gabriel Gudmundsson of Lille on Tuesday, to replace Junior Firpo as a left -wing of the first choice at Elland Road in the next mandate.

The championship champions also added two new central defenders to their team this summer, while Sebastiaan Bornauw and Jaka Bijol joined the club, from Wolfsburg and Udinese respectively.

Leeds will however have to pay their attention to the attacking areas of the park for a long time, to ensure that their attack is ready for the Premier League.

Teamtalk recently reported that the club would like to sign Manor Salomon permanently, but that negotiations have reached a dead end, which means that he remains to be seen whether or not he is in the West Yorkshire.

Why Manor Salomon would be a risky signature for Leeds

Bringing back the Israeli international to Elland Road before a season in the Premier League could be a risky decision for the club, since he had previously played at this level and had to relax in the championship.

Solomon first moved to England with Fulham in 2022 and the winger had a decent time, but not very spectacular, in Craven Cottage, with a return of five goals and zero in 24 games in all competitions.

The 25 -year -old man then signed for Tottenham Hotspur the following summer and did not succeed in any goal and two assists in six games for Spurs in all competitions before joining Leeds on loan last year.

As you can see in the table above, Salomon was far from being an exceptional artist during his stay at the top, because he rarely contributed as a marker or creator of objectives for Spurs or Fulham.

However, the feeling of the right foot produced ten goals and 12 assists in 39 appearances in the Leeds championship last season, when he struck his stride on the left side of Farke’s 4-2-3-1 system.

This shows that he knows the system and has proven that he can deliver in the pressure cooker which is Elland Road, but there is no guarantee that the attacker will translate these performances to the Premier League.

This is why Solomon is a potentially risky signature for whites this summer, and perhaps why they are considering an alternative target.

Leeds submits an offer to sign a new winger

According to Africa Foot, Leeds United contacted to sign Jeremie Boga from Ogc Nice before the end of the summer transfer window.

The report says that the Premier League team has already submitted an offer of 15 million euros (13 million pounds sterling) to take Ivorian talent, although it remains to be seen whether or not it is enough to try the French club to separate from it.

The Boga contract with the side of Ligue 1 should expire in the summer of 2027, which means that the current window could be their last chance to extract the maximum value of it, because it only has a year left on its agreement next year.

The point of sale adds that there are interests on the part of the Turkish Super Lig teams, which could offer a competition in Leeds, but that does not reveal if they have also made offers for the 28 -year -old striker.

Africa Foot says, however, that former young Chelsea, who also played for Birmingham City, would not be against a return to England this summer.

Why should Leeds sign Jeremie Boga

Leeds should push to win the race for the 28 -year -old striker, as he could be an even better option than Salomon to fill the hole on the left wing for Farke in the Premier League.

Although he did not play, Bar One Game for Chelsea, in English High Volt, Boga has proven his qualities in Ligue 1 and Serie A during his career, two of the largest leagues in Europe.

The Ivorian AS has just got rid of a disappointing season, with three goals and a help in 24 games for Nice, but Leeds could see it as a positive because it could allow them to win an agreement for the attacker, who offered much more in front of the goal in the previous campaigns.

In fact, Boga’s performance in the 2023/24 campaign of Ligue 1 for Nice suggest that he has the capacity of the ball to offer even more to the Premier League team than Salomon.

As you can see in the table above, the former young Chelsea ranked well among his positional peers of Ligue 1 as a scorer and creator of goals, ending the season with more goals and more aid than Solomon has not succeeded in the Premier League to date.

In addition to that, Boga, who was greeted as a “unique” talent from coach Michael Beale, also presented his quality in Italy with Atalanta and Sassuolo, with 20 goals and 13 assists in 136 games at the top of the Italian.

Leeds’ objective, which scored 11 goals from Serie A during the 2019/20 season, is an experienced and left quality attacker who has shown that he could deliver objectives and assists in multiple major European leagues.

There would be a certain concern about its disappointing form, the last mandate, but Farke is surely supported to help Boga come back to his best, which would make him an even better option than Salomon, which has not delivered anywhere near the same level of quality in a major league.
