The Los Angeles Act Application Agencies have arrested a burglary team linked to nearly 100 break -in in the region, officials announced on Monday.
Several police services and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sheriff searched eight houses around 5 a.m. on Wednesday, arresting seven men aged 22 to 47, Los Angeles police service announced in a press release.
They were all reserved for burglary and possession of controlled substances when they were armed, the police said. Another man with an active mandate went two days later, and two other men linked to the burglaries crew were already in detention faced with attempted murder.
The suspects, 10 in total, were all recurrences and confirmed gang members, police said. The crew is linked to at least 92 residential burglaries dating from 2022, most of the incidents occurring in 2024 and 2025.
“What made this withdrawal possible is the exceptional work of our officers and detectives – to communicate between divisions and offices, information sharing and the connection of points that revealed that these burglarys were linked to the same crew,” said LAPD chief, Jim McDonnell, in a press release.
Nathan Hochman’s County Prosecutor, who was elected last fall on a reprimand platform on crime, said in a statement that his office “would not hesitate to request the maximum sanctions under the law”.
During the operation on Wednesday, the managers recovered stolen luxury watches, bracelets, high -end handbags, wallets and money. They also found burglary tools such as revolutionary devices and portable radios, large quantities of ammunition and firearms, narcotics, a money counter and several mobile phones, police said.
Police also served a search warrant in April 2025 in a house -related house and found a large number of firearms and ammunition as well as stolen credit cards, false identity documents and jewelry.
