The list of podcasts eligible for submission for the price of the best podcast of the Golden Globes 2026 has been revealed.
20/20 (from ABC News), 48 hours (from CBS News), Armchair expert with Dax Shepard, call his dad, Candace, Junkie Crime, Dateline NBC, Good Hang Withy Poehler, Morbid, Mrballen Podcast: Strange, Dark & Mysterious Stories, Pardon My Take, Pod, The Ben Shapiro Show, The Bill Simmons Podcast, The Daily (Since The New York Times),, The Joe Rogan Experience, The Megyn Kelly Show, The Mel Robbins Podcast, The Tucker Carlson Show, last weekend with Theo Von and Up First of NPR are among those who are eligible to be nominated in the category.
While the Golden Globe Awards have been known for decades to celebrate the best of cinema and television, they are now developing in the digital space by honoring the best podcasts.
The nominees will be chosen from the list of the 25 most threatened podcasts, “who have had a significant impact in the past year, celebrating the creativity and influence of creators around the world,” announced the organization previously. The list of the first 25 for eligibility is determined by direct data from the main platforms of Podcast, such as Apple, Spotify and YouTube, among others.
“While the world of entertainment continues to evolve, we are delighted to recognize new forms of narration,” said Helen Hoehne, president of the Golden Globes organization, in a press release. “Podcasts have become a deep medium to share accounts and build communities through world borders and generations.
The appointments, including for the best category of podcast, for the Golden Globes 2026 will be announced on a later date. And the winners will be revealed during the 83rd Golden Globes ceremony, organized by the actor Nikki Glaser, Sunday January 11, 2026. The show will be broadcast on CBS and Stream on Paramount +.
