‘Pluribus’ Creator Vince Gilligan Reacts to Google Earth Spoiler

SPOILERS: This article contains details about the To manyseason 1 episode “The Gap”

As a growing fandom dissects every detail of To manycreator Vince Gilligan hopes viewers will keep spoilers to a minimum.

The Golden Globe winner recently responded to a Google Earth image that spoiled the conclusion of last week’s episode “The Gap,” in which Carol (Rhea Seehorn) signals a truce to the “Others” with giant letters in her standoff “come back.”

Attributing this to “people trying to figure out what’s going to happen next,” he told Dexerto, “I’m all for it. I’m doing it myself.”

“People who try to ruin other people’s lives, that’s where I draw the line,” Gilligan added.

Gilligan’s comments come after fans took to social media with a screenshot of the Albuquerque, New Mexico neighborhood where the series is filmed, revealing the plot point days before the episode aired.

Writer/director Gordon Smith echoed this sentiment. “It’s good that people are engaged and interested,” he said. “I have the impression [it’s fine] when people can keep it to themselves and say, “Look, I found something” and not try to make other people wrong.

Seehorn recently teased the upcoming finale to Deadline: “It’s bananas. Same as the first episode. I basically have the same reaction to every one of them. I’m like, ‘What!?’ Then I’m like, “Holy shit. All right, let’s go. I mean, they read so well. I knew when I read the scripts [that] that would be the kind of show I would love. I would be obsessed with this series even if I wasn’t in it.

“So it’s been a huge reward to be able to play it and kind of become the audience’s access point to go down that rabbit hole,” Seehorn added. “As for the finale, I loved it. I immediately and desperately needed season 2. They’re in the writers’ room now, and I haven’t asked any questions yet. I might just be surprised, just like the audience. I’ll play it before they see it, but I might, I might wait. I don’t know.”
