Pittsburgh: Insulated showers today

SPORTY. I certainly didn’t feel like a football time there. No football time in sight yet. No toning in the 90s, but still hot temperatures, the humidity that takes place while we enter a whole new week. Also brings summer showers today. Of course, the rain was difficult to come here in August, so even if you may have to dodge rain from time to time, today it is certainly welcomed in the west of Pennsylvania. No showers tomorrow. An end -of -day activity possible Tuesday. Make it a little more humid as Wednesday approaches. But at this stage, the rain and the storms really followed most of the morning. Now start getting down. A little more busy between New Castle and Ellwood City, overflowing around Prospect. Even McConNells Mill while we examine the northwest of the county of Butler. This also has an impact on the Lake Arthur region. Folding just south of Slippery Rock, Rimersburg a decent downpour there. All of this works from west to east. The rain also begins to settle just outside butler. This is now around Saxonburg trying to get closer to Sarver, also around Kittanning at this stage, and the rain is essentially dried up before it even occurs in the county of Allegheny. So certainly a good trend there. Everyone is silent. We will stay dry here for a few more hours, but there is a fresh front that will always produce isolated showers, especially since we resume in the afternoon on the radar. Everything is north of Pittsburgh. The emphasis will move south more in the afternoon while we accumulate more vapor. This really creates a favorable environment for potentially more showers, perhaps even some non-severe thunderstorms. Thus, these precipitation totals certainly jumping, especially around Greensburg, even Waynesburg, while we are going through this afternoon with more of this local rain, we will hear the fire and humidity just a touch tomorrow 83. Meanwhile, we are back closer to 90 Tuesday. It is dry until late in the day. It seems that Wednesday will be the best of two days in the middle of this week to come. Here again is futurecast. You can see that things are calm for the next few hours, but as we approach, say 1:00 to 2:00 this afternoon, some of these showers are starting to boil. Keep in mind that these areas have already seen the rain today, so more than probably just a soft shower. But as this action continues to work to the south and east, having an impact, say counties of Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, certainly south of the I-70, you have the potential to see a few more showers, even here, a little more thunder and lightning while we continue at the end of the afternoon, the first parts of the evening. Basically, everything settles south while we get closer to dinner tonight and things will remain silent. Then, for about 24, even 48 hours again, Wednesday seems to be wet day when approaching the central part of the week. It will be with the cold front. This will launch more irregular showers, perhaps also an integrated thunderstorm. Not too concerned about the strong threat of rain now, so keep these days of remote impact. But this system will push the Hurricane Erin further from the East Coast. No impact on the continent of the United States, but certainly rough waves in certain coastal areas.
