A cart of popcorn located in the celebration of the world in Epcot caught fire earlier during the day, with actors who quickly extinguished the flames.
The popcorn cart takes fire
A video of the fire incident was shared on Instagram by @travellingwithrobert. In the video, the popcorn cart is seen with smoke flowing from the section that uses heat to burst the popcorn. No visible flame has been reported so far, but the actors have been seen with fire extinguishers.
The snack cart in question is located near the imagination! Pavilion on the right side of Epcot, near the edge of world nature and world celebration.
One of our journalists was in Epcot and was able to take photos shortly after confirmation of the fire. In a few minutes, the fire was completely extinguished and more smoke was visible.
The rest of the cart remains in good condition, with only the popcorn section showing signs of the fire.
The generally clear glass in the Pop-Corn section of the cart has now been tinged with gray and black due to severe smoke, although no window has been damaged. The vent at the top is also colorful in black.
The two members of the distribution parked nearby blocked the popcorn section of the snack cart using stands. At the time of writing, customers are always able to buy drinks and ice cream in the right part of the cart, but popcorn is no longer available at this place.
