Phillies recovers Edmundo Sosa at the perfect time for Stretch Run

Philadelphia Phillies won a place in the playoffs and consecutive division titles. Although they have not yet been able to obtain a Bye in the first round, it seems only a matter of time based on the separation they have on the Los Angeles dodgers with only a handful of remaining games.
While the Phillies are trying to continue this bye, they also try to stay healthy via the last stages of the regular season, which turned out to be a little difficult for them. Already without Trea Turner and Edmundo Sosa, the team underwent a major fear when JT Realmuto took a fault of his hand during the last round of the Tuesday competition.
Fortunately, Philadelphia obtained good news on this front, while the X -rays came back negative and it was diagnosed as having just a contusion. We do not know how often he will play for the rest of the calendar, but at least he is not dealing with a serious injury.
Realmuto’s update was not the only positive piece of information on injuries that phillies received on Wednesday. The team also announced that Edmundo Sosa had been activated on the injured list, the inner field player Donovan Walton being appointed for assigning the place on the active list.
Before tonight’s match against the Miami Marlins, the Phillies reinstated the Inf Edmundo Sosa on the 10 -day injured list. To make room on the list of 28 men, Infon Donovan Walton has been appointed for assignment.

Sosa was an important piece of the puzzle throughout this season. Not only was he deadly against the left -handed pitch with an oblique bar line of 0.314 / .360 / .505 on 105 bundles, but he also provided a solid defensive with a value greater than the average of four, while having four defensive points saved in his name.
The veteran field player has been on the shelf since September 16 with a groin injury. He seemed to have suffered from this ball in the middle when he filled the wounded turner at the stopped stop.
In his absence, Bryson Stott slipped to this position with Weston Wilson taking over in the second row.
The timing of this activation arrives at an ideal moment for Philadelphia and Sosa. They need him to be in good health and available on the bench as a pinch striker during the playoffs, so it is important to bring him back into the swing of things.
This last section of regular season games also serves the last time that Phillie players will be able to face the major leagues in a live MLB match before the NLDS, so Sosa’s return will now allow him to drop the rust before Philadelphia take a break during their bye in the first round.
Having Sosa in the mixture is also an excellent sign that this list is being healthy at the right time, giving the director Rob Thomson a better idea of the way he wants to build things before the arrival of October.
