Things did not go well for Aaron Nola this season, but Philadelphia phillies more than ever need him.

The right -wing veteran takes the ball for the phillies on Thursday when they open a home series of four games against the Braves of Atlanta.

Philadelphia stamped at home after being swept away in three games by the New York Mets, which have ahead of the Phillies 25-8. On Wednesday, second place, which took the final of the 6-0 series, reduced the advance of the Phillies in the National League is four games.

“It’s a series,” said Philadelphia manager Rob Thomson. “And I know it’s against the dishes, but certainly, we have to play better. But we will do it. We have a good club – and that will not change.”

Not only are phillies in trouble at the moment, but they must also play the rest of the season without Ace Zack Wheeler (Blood Clot). Naturally, this exerts more pressure on players such as Nola (2-7, 6.52 ERA), which is in the middle of the most difficult season of his career.

Nola missed three months with a tracked ankle and a fractured coast earlier this season, although he has not launched well even when he is in good health.

He granted six points in 2 1/3 rounds against the Washington Nationals on August 17 during his first departure since his return from the long absence. Nola was better in his latest start – also against Washington – when he gave in three points (two deserved) on six images on Saturday.

“Very important. Without a doubt,” said Thomson about the importance of receiving performance by Vintage Nola. “And I expect good things from Nola. I really do it. He did it for a long time. He lived. He crossed ruts and leaves it in the past. He’s fine.”

Nola, who has not faced the brave this season, has a 16-11 sheet with a 3.59 MPM in 37 lifelong starts against them. That said, he could catch Atlanta at the wrong time.

The Braves scored 23 points in their last two games. On Wednesday, they rout the marlins of Miami 12-1 while Ozzie Albies managed a hospital and rolled in five points, Michael Harris II added a long ball and three products produced and Jorickson Profar went deeply twice. Albies also had a big day in Atlanta Triumph 11-2 on Tuesday, producing two circuits, one double and four products produced.

“Oz had his difficulties for most of the summer, but you would never know,” said Atlanta manager Brian Snitker. “He just keeps a great attitude on this subject and his confidence in himself. I hope he can continue and finish on a very good note.”

The Braves will now turn to the right-hander Cal when it was 4-11, 5.11 ERA), who made a departure since Atlanta asked for derogations from the Marlins last week. He abandoned five safe and five goals on balls in 4 2/3 rounds against the dishes on Saturday in his only release for Atlanta, but he always limited New York to three points in this competition.

Asrill faced Philadelphia twice this season, including a ugly early April 19 in which he granted seven points in 3 1/3 of sleeves as a member of the Marlins. It is 0-1 with an MPM of 12.27 against Philadelphia this year, 1-1 with an MPM of 5.55 more than five departures in his career.
