PFL Dubai video: Sergio Pettis arrives at the “Unreal” Ko of the year candidate on Magomed Magomedov

“Unreal!” This is how Sean O’Connell described one of the most shocking finishes of the year, and he did not lie.

In a fight that Magomed Magomedov dominated completely, Sergio Pettis – from nowhere – won a vicious elbow in rotation in the second round to mark a devastating and improbable victory on Friday at the PFL Champions series: Dubai of Coca -Cola Arena.

Magomedov was heading with Pettis on the carpet and stood for almost two complete rounds until he made the fatal error to jump with a flying knee. With Pettis against the cage, he simply unloaded a turning elbow which immediately spread Magomedov. Another follow -up punch put the final touch on a spectacular finish.

You can watch the finish in the video below:

Despite the way the fight took place, Pettis later said that he had never lost hope.

“I always have confidence in myself, guy. I have God with me,” Pettis told Sean O’Connell during his interview after combat. “… He spoke to me all the fight, excessive confidence, and I think it bit him in the ass.”

Victory was the second of the year for Pettis (25-7), and now the former Bellator champion could be set up for a rooster weight title shot.
