Pets LHP David Peterson Subs for the giants LHP Robbie Ray on NL ALL-STARS

New York Mets launcher David Peterson replaced his colleague Robbie Ray of the Giants of San Francisco on the alignment of the National League Thursday for next Tuesday’s stars match in Atlanta.
Ray, 33, is expected to appear on Sunday against the Los Angeles Dodgers on a visit. He has 9-3 this season with an MPM of 2.63, a full match, 42 steps and 122 stick withdraws in 113 rounds in 19 departures.
Peterson is a first All-Star and will join the Francisco Lindor (Starter), the first basic player Pete Alonso and the closest to Edwin Diaz on the NL Squad.
Peterson, 29, also launched Thursday, but that was not good news because the food fell on the Baltimore Orioles 3-1 host in the first match of a double. He started and did more than seven rounds, granting a race (eighth) on five strokes without walking and six withdrawals in the stick but did not appear in the decision.
Peterson has a 6-4 file with a 3.06 MPM with a complete laundering, 37 steps and 93 stick withdraws in 108 rounds on 18 departures.
Ray was an All-Star in 2017 for the Arizona Diamondbacks and the winner of the American League Cy Young in 2021 with the Blue Jays in Toronto.
The giants will also be represented Tuesday by the right -hander Logan Webb and the Randy Rodriguez lift.
