Today, Disney and Pixar have once again reaffirmed their commitment to France Annecy Animation Festival, a world class event that studios now use each year to provide exclusive news and an overview of projections to a global audience of animation fans.
In what opened its doors as a regular window of the next “Elio”, the DisneyPixar creation director, Pete Docter, has unveiled a list of pixar wrapped with a brand new film, announcing the news to an ecstatic audience.
“Gatto”, scheduled for the summer of 2027, comes from the film team behind “Luca”, the director Enrico Casarosa and producer Andrea Warren. Casarosa’s first feature film has now become a favorite of fans because of its adorable characters and lush Italian parameters, “Luca” was the first Pixar film to be published exclusively on Disney +, while Hollywood leaders had trouble adapting to the changing pandemic tides.
Since then, DisneyPixar has – to the delight of animation fans – has reproduced a global theatrical outing strategy, associated with exclusive first. Annecy Crowds could well be the very first audience to discover “Gatto” in June 2027.
This new Pixar film returns to Italy, the country of birth of Casarosa, this time in Venice, where, after years of maneuver from the extraordinary city, a black cat named Nero begins to wonder if he has lived good life.
Redencing to a boss of the local feline crowd, Nero finds himself in a dilemma and is forced to establish a truly unexpected friendship which could finally lead him to his goal…. Unless the mysterious and dark side of Venice benefits him first.
The Annecy crowd applauded it, while “Luca” continues to delight Pixar fans and the family of the family. The feature film was reissued last year, as well as two other Pixar films struck by an era “Red Alert” and “Soul”, and now broadcasts exclusively on Disney +.

An animated annual crowd was not disappointed by this year’s window, while the filmmakers of “Elio” Madeline Sharafian, Domee Shi and producer Mary Alice Drumm went on stage and offered a preview of 27 minutes not so inaugurated with their expected feature film. What has been shown so far, enchanted festival -goers, letting them want to discover the whole scope of the adventures that await Elio and Aunt Olga (expressed by the winner of the Oscars Zoe Saldaña), while they are traveling millions of kilometers through the universe that meet a multitude of global creatures that could just help him exactly where he belongs. “Elio” arrives in the world’s worlds next week.
The Disneypixar CCO, Peter Doctter – which was honored today with an enthronement in the reputation of Walk of Annecy – delighted Pixar fans with exclusive “Hoppers” images as well as an overview of the first two minutes of the version of summer 2026 of the studio, “Toy Story 5.”
Doctor confirmed the return of Joan Cusack as Jessie in this next chapter “Toy Story” and also announced new exciting characters, the studio celebrates the 30th anniversary of the favorite pioneer franchise for fans. “Toy Story”, released in 1995, is the first computer animated film of feature film never released and the first feature film of Pixar Animation Studios, released by Walt Disney Pictures.
A film that revolutionized the industry and caused the age of computer generated by computer.
As a supervising animator on the original “Toy Story”, Docter presented images inherited rarely seen from the film, which brought renown and fortune to Pixar and began a franchise that has since received 18 Academy prize nominations and won 3 Academy Awards and a special prize for success, with the best animation feature for the time for the Toy Story 3 “And the Toy Story” and the original Song (Woody and Buzz ‘Franchise.
30 years ago, “Toy Story” was presented in Annecy. Today, it really seemed that Docter said again the crowd of Annecy: “You have a friend in me.”
