St. Louis Cardinals vs Seattle Mariners Box Score, Summary and Statistics of the Team – September 10, 2025 Gametracker

There are not many strikers who classify T-Mobile Park as their favorite.

But Josh Naylor is the exception.

Naylor went 3-en-4 with a broken home run and Randy Arozarena also went deep and rolled in four points while the Seattle Mariners gathered to beat the Cardinals of St. Louis visiting Tuesday evening.

The Mariners will try to sweep the Interligue three game series on Wednesday evening.

“Whenever I was opponent, it was only the first place I was looking forward to coming. I really like to play here,” said Naylor, who strikes 0.379 with five circuits and 13 points produced in 17 home games since her acquisition from Arizona before the deadline. “It’s a super cool stadium and the fans are always electric.”

The Navy (77-68) won four games in a row to shoot in a Houston match at the West American League in the West race in the American League. Seattle maintained its advance of 1 1/2 match on Texas for the third and last place of Joker from the AL.

“Grosse matches right now,” said Naylor. “We are in a truly impressive push for the playoffs and also a pressure for division. It’s time to leave. … It’s super fun, everything you dream of as a baseball player and obviously, the World Series are the final goal.”

Naylor, who grew up in Canada, brings a hockey mentality to the stadium. When he was asked if he had noticed that the astros had lost during a starting coup against Toronto, he said that he had not and asked who Houston was playing.

“I don’t really care about another team,” said Naylor. “As long as we win, we will be in good position.”

Mariners manager Dan Wilson, who also played hockey by growing up in Illinois, said that he appreciated Naylor’s approach.

“It is also intense as they come. The emotion and the conduct he has … He is a leader and an exceptional player,” said Wilson. “He finds barrels and, in great moments, is able to slow down things. This is the time of year, that brings out the best. He swung the bat. To see that, that does us all.”

The Cardinals (72-74), who entered the series after winning four of the five games, remained 4 1/2 games behind the New York Mets in the pursuit of the National League Joker.

Gaucher Matthew Liberatore took the defeat on Tuesday, granting five points over six strokes in four rounds.

“Three walks and two error grounds are really what it comes down,” said Liberatore.

The cardinals played without the Masyn Winn Copped Stop, which was a late scratch due to the right knee pain.

The final of the series should present a pair of old first round choices in the right-handers Michael McGreevy (6-3, 4.68 ERA) of the Cardinals and the Mariners’ Logan Gilbert (4-6, 3.61).

McGreevy carried out a sequence of four consecutive victories won with an 8-2 defeat against the visit of San Francisco in which he granted six points on nine strokes in four rounds. McGreevy will face sailors for the first time.

Gilbert did not make a decision last Friday in Atlanta, despite only one point on five strokes in six rounds with seven stick withdrawals in a match that the navies lost 4-1. He has a 0-1 file with an MPM of 2.25 at a previous start against Saint-Louis, a victory of the Cardinals 2-0 on September 7, 2024 in which Gilbert granted two points on two safe strokes in eight sleeves.
