Perez Hilton Reacts After Bela and Gigi Hadid’s Secret Half-Sister Opens Up About Her Relationship With Them

New details have been shared about the relationship between models Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid and their recently discovered half-sister, Aydan Nix. In a personal essay published in The Cut on December 30, 2025, Nix, 23, described how she connected with the Hadid family after learning earlier this year that she shared a father, Mohamed Hadid, with the famous siblings.

This revelation follows a DNA test which confirmed the until recently unknown family connection of Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid. Reacting to Nix’s thoughts, blogger Perez Hilton praised the warmth of their bond, calling the story “so stinky!” » on his blog.

“So smelly and sweet! Her new family also helped her connect with her Palestinian roots”

According to a report summarized by E! News of December 31, 2025, Aydan Nix is the daughter of Mohamed Hadid and Terri Hatfield Dull, from a brief relationship following Mohamed’s divorce from Yolanda Hadid. While Mohamed Hadid reportedly knew Nix, the Hadid siblings only learned of her existence after she took a genetic test that compared her to them earlier in 2025.

In his essay, Aydan Nix explains that this discovery transformed his understanding of family. Raised in Florida, she also shared that the father she grew up with died when she was a teenager, adding emotional complexity to learning about her biological roots. Along with Gigi Hadid and Bella Hadid, she gained other half-siblings, including Anwar Hadid, as well as older sisters Marielle Hadid and Alana Hadid.

Nix described going through both excitement and insecurity as she entered a family with decades of shared memories. She acknowledged feeling the absence of childhood experiences such as holidays and inside jokes, and feeling like “a strange person.”

“No sleepovers, no shared vacations, no borrowing clothes, no jokes, no stories woven together. They had a lifetime of memories and I felt like an exception.”

Nix made it clear that even though they met them much later in life, the Hadid siblings made space for her and were nothing short of welcoming.

“My sisters (and the rest of the family) have been warm and generous,” Aydan Nix, who learned she was related to the models in May, wrote in a new essay. “They made room for me when they didn’t need it.”

In her essay, Aydan Nix reportedly shared specific moments that helped her feel welcomed. She wrote that Anwar Hadid referred to her as his “little sister” during their first phone call, while Bella Hadid jokingly called her his “twin.”

“Anwar called me his little sister the first time we spoke on the phone. Bella calls me his twin. My mother couldn’t even make out our voices when we first spoke to her on the phone.”

She also described how her siblings helped connect her with her Palestinian heritage, from shared meals introduced by Gigi Hadid to resources and activism encouraged by Alana Hadid.

“Alana sent me resources and inspired me to become active in the fight for Palestinian freedom. I watched Anwar’s film Walled Off. Gigi took me for my first Palestinian meal and taught me the names of different dishes.”

In his professional life, Aydan Nix said his sisters encouraged his passion for fashion. Nix claims that after Gigi Hadid introduced her to stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, she was able to participate in a Victoria’s Secret campaign and other major projects.

Aydan Nix said his daily life hasn’t changed much despite the focus on the family relationship. She adds that the unexpected public attention has presented challenges, such as online scrutiny of her appearance and assumptions about her lifestyle.
