Pen-Ek Ratanaruang leads the Tokyo market co-production seminar

The Tiffcom market in Tokyo intensifies its international profile for 2025 with new initiatives, including a co-production seminar led by Thai Author Pen-Ek Ratanaruang, an enlarged seminar program and the launch of a film pavilion in China with 180 recent films.
Ratanaruang, whose “Dead Cucina” plays in the Tokyo International Film Festival competition after having surfaced in the first round on the Tiffcom financing market, will draw the title of the International Co -production seminar. The session will include a case Study of the film and a panel featuring producers Soros Sukhum and Stefano Centini (“Morte Cucina”), Shanty Harmayn (“Garuda: Dare to Dream”), Cristian Imanuell (“Jumbo”), Nini Yusof (“Ejen Ali The Movie 2”) and Sudo, With Producer and Industry Strategist Lorna Tee Serving as a moderator.
Also a new this year, China Film Croduction Corporation will host a pavilion with nearly 70 Chinese institutions. In addition to the projections, the pavilion will unveil the “Blue Book of China Film 2025” and “Blue Book of China TV Series 2025”, publications that analyze production trends and highlight the best works selected by academics and online public.
The Slate seminar, which takes place on the three -day market, will address the global expansion of intellectual property and Japanese animation, international remake strategies and exchanges of regional producers. The executive producer of Netflix “One Piece” Tetsu Fujimura will provide an adaptation discourse on the adaptation of Japanese properties to the global screen, while other sessions will highlight the trends in Japanese television content, new collaborations between Japan and Korea, and tanning forums organized with partners such as Kofic and the Japanese agency for cultural affairs.
Tiffcom 2025 takes place from October 29 to 31 in Hamamatsucho-Kan in the center of Tokyo.
