2 + 2 = 5 ‘doc + new clip

EXCLUSIVE: The director nominated at the Oscars, Raoul Peck, launches a five cities tour Thursday for his last film and pretender at the prices Orwell: 2-2 = 5Starting with projections and questions and answers to the IFC center in New York of this evening.
The film, which was created at the Cannes Film Festival in May and then played in Jerusalem and San Sebastian, left at the national release on October 10 Care of Neon. The distributor has published a new clip that the deadline can reveal exclusively.

2 + 2 = 5 sees Peck revisiting the work of George Orwell, one of the most radical and visionary authors of the 20th century, including novels of the 1940s, such as 1984 And Animal farmpredicts an scary and too delicate authoritarian future.
Working in collaboration with the Orwell Estate, Peck has gathered historical clips, readings of the Orwell Journal, cinematographic references and modern dynamic images to offer a final portrait of the writer as well as an entirely new approach to the way in which his work is remarkably relevant and prophetic.
The director also discusses his personal connection with the material thanks to his childhood experience to be forced to flee the Duvalier dictatorship in Haiti. The award -winning actor Damian Lewis tells the film.
Peck was previously appointed to the Oscars in the best documentary category for his 2016 documentary I’m not your negrowith other works since inclusion Ernest Cole: Lost and found as well as the fiction function Young Karl Marx.
