Trump calls on a homeless DC to be moved “far from the capital”

President Donald Trump said the homeless will have places to stay “far from the capital” and have promised that violent criminals in Washington, DC, be prosecuted aggressively in a pair of Sunday messages on Truth Social.

The staff member of the Ministry of Effectiveness of the Government (DOGE), Edward Coristine, known by the nickname “Big Balls”, was seriously injured when he intervened to prevent a car car in the District of Columbia. Trump said that a press conference on Monday is focusing on security in the national capital, and the president directed a massive increase in the federal presence on the application of laws in Washington on Thursday. “We are organizing a press conference tomorrow at the White House. I will make our capital safer and more beautiful than ever. The homeless must move, immediately,” Trump published on Trum Social. “We will give you places to stay, but far from the capital. Criminals, you don’t have to move. We are going to put you in prison where you belong. We want our capital to come back.

The crime in the Columbia district has become a hot button problem after Eric Tarpinien-Jachym, trainee of the republican representative Ron Estes du Kansas, was fatally killed on June 30. Two employees of the Israeli embassy were killed in a May shooting, while Democratic Representative Angie Craig of Minnesota was attacked in his apartment in February 2023.

Trump, who launched the idea of a district federal takeover after Coristine’s injury, announced that the press conference would not only be a matter of crime in a Sunday afternoon article on Truth Social.

“The press conference on crime and” embellishment “will take place tomorrow, at 10:00 am, in the press room, and this will not only imply putting the crime, murder and death in the capital of our country, but it will also be of cleanliness and general physical renovation and our formerly beautiful and well -maintained condition,” said Trump. We are not going to allow people to spend 3.1 billion dollars to repair a building, such as the federal reserve, which could have been done much more elegant and sensitive to time for $ 50 to 100 million. The renovation would have been better. “” (Related: Congress resumed DC in the 90s – and that worked)

“The mayor of DC, Muriel Bowser, is a good person who has tried, but she has received many chances, and the crime figures Empire, and the city is only becoming dirty and less attractive,” continued Trump. “The American public will no longer bear it. Just as I took care of the border, where you had no illegal, there were taking place last month, of millions of previous people, I take care of our cherished capital, and we will make it, really, again greater!

According to article I of the Constitution, the congress can exercise control over the national capital. The congress granted to the Columbia district “Home Rule” in 1973, but the Congress may disapprove of the law adopted by the Government of DC.
