“A warrior does not let a friend face danger alone.” At New York Comic-Con this weekend, Paramount+ revealed the first official trailer for its upcoming new Star Trek series – this one is titled Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. It will be ready to stream from January 2026, just a few months away if anyone wants to tune in. Set in the 32nd century, the period in the distant future that was introduced in the series. Star Trek: Discovery (2017–2024), the series follows Starfleet’s first new class of cadets in over a century as they come of age and also train to become officers. Sandro Rosta, Karim Diane, Kerrice Brooks, George Hawkins& Bella Shepard play as the cadets of the Starfleet Academy, with Holly Hunter as captain and chancellor of Starfleet Academy, Zoe Steiner, Robert Picardo, TrossAnd Oded Fehr. The second season is already filming and the first will be launched soon. With two recurring characters: Gina Yashere as Lura Thok – part Klingon, part Jem’Hadar, first officer of the Athena; And Paul Giamatti like Nus Braka – part Klingon, part Tellarite who has a disturbing past connection to one of the cadets. It’s actually kind of funny to see Giamatti with all that makeup on a Star Trek series. Maybe it will be worth the detour? Check out the images.
