A founding member of the Oasis moves away from the long -awaited reunion tour of the group following a diagnosis of prostate cancer.
Friday, the guitarist Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs shared his health news on Instagram, announcing his temporary departure from the world tour Oasis Live ’25, which started on July 4 in Cardiff, in Wales.
“At the beginning of this year, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer,” he shared in his post. “The good news is that I respond very well to the treatment, which meant that I could be part of this incredible tour. Now, I have to take a break scheduled for the next phase of my guard, so I will miss the concerts in Seoul, Tokyo, Melbourne and Sydney. ”
Arthurs continued: “I am really sad to miss these programs, but I feel good and I will be back ready to go in time for South America. Spend an incredible moment if you go there this month and I will see you on stage with the group in November. Bonehead. X “
The group’s next stop after the Arthurs break will be in Buenos Aires, Argentina on November 15 and 16.
Following the information reporting on a reunion tour of Oasis, Liam Gallagher confirmed the news last August that he and his brother Noel met, after their rivalry of longtime brothers led the latter to leave the group in the middle of the touch in 2009.
“It is with sadness and great relief … I left Oasis tonight,” said Noel in a statement at the time. “People write and say what they like, but I just couldn’t continue working with Liam one more day.”
