Olivia Munn says that director has tried to ruin her career
Olivia Munn revealed how a director of the old HBO show The editorial hall tried to “ruin” his career and his chances of winning future roles.
On an episode of June 30 of Chair expert at Dax Shepard, THE Your friends and neighbors The actor said one of the directors of the HBO series had tried to sabotage his career by saying that it was difficult to work with it.
Olivia played the role of the economist Sloan Sabbith during the three seasons of Aaron Sorkin’s political drama in 2012.
She explained that when season 2 started, she noticed that some directors focused on her. “Why are you kissing with me?” She remembers, before distinguishing a director with whom she apparently pushed heads.
“There was a script where my character and the character of Tom Sadoski are going out and falling in love,” said Olivia. “”[The director] I continued to try to force myself to wear this scenario only on my side. He says to himself, “Can you watch him and smile?” And I say to myself: “Why is she busy doing this?” Or: “Can you stop and snuggle up to him or flirt with him?” Or: “Can you give him a kiss?” And I say to myself: ‘It is in the middle of the work.’ “”
Tom Sadoski represented Don Keefer, a former executive producer of the series ” News evening Show, which has a development relationship with the character of Olivia in the series.
In the podcast, Olivia did not appoint the director, but she allegedly allegedly spoke of her to other industry professionals in a way that could harm her reputation as an actor.
Olivia continued: “I was on the line of a yard for the film, and my manager calls me and said:” Hey, you’re going to have the role. But first, I guess there is another director they know, and he says that on The editorial roomYou were late all the time and really combative. ‘”
Olivia was categorical that the statements were false, explaining that she was never late and that the conflict was embellished. “I lived seven minutes from [Sunset Grower Studios]. “Obviously, when you start in this company, there is the hope of making your brand and going to a certain place,” said Olivia. “But this kind of dynamic that I have experienced for so long has really changed. The way I think about my career and what I want – I really want to do a great job with which I am satisfied, and I want to live an easy and happy life.”
