Paramount Plus sees price hike in early 2026

The price of Paramount Plus is increasing again. As part of its earnings report released Monday, Paramount said it would “implement price increases in the United States” in the first quarter of 2026 – without saying how much that would soon cost.
Paramount says the price increase “will fuel continued reinvestment in the user experience and deliver an even stronger programming lineup” in the future. Like many other streamers, Paramount has increased the price of its streaming service almost every year. Paramount Plus raised its prices in 2023 before raising them again last June, bringing its ad-free Premium plan to $12.99/month, while its ad-supported tier sits at $7.99/month. It also recently increased prices in Canada and Australia.
The edge contacted Paramount to ask for more information, but did not immediately receive a response.
During the first months of Skydance ownership, Paramount Plus added 1.4 million subscribers, bringing its total to 79.1 million. Paramount has struck a $7.7 billion deal that will also bring live UFC fights to its streaming service.
Along with the price hikes, Paramount revealed that it is “removing” free trials from its streaming service and “reviewing discount practices.” The company also plans to update the tech stack behind Paramount Plus and its free ad-supported streaming service Pluto TV to improve their performance, and is exploring how it can use AI to offer better personalization and recommendations.
