Panthers release the second Josey Jewell
Charlotte – The panthers released the second Josey Jewell on Tuesday, after the veteran continued to feel concussion symptoms.
According to a team spokesperson, Jewell, 30, wanted to prioritize his health and recovery and be attentive to his teammates, and the move allows the Panthers to move forward with a group of players who are able to obtain all training representatives when the camp opens tomorrow.
If all is well with his recovery, he could return to the team at some point in the future.
He signed a three -year contract during the 2024 off -season and started 12 games last year. He finished second in the team with 97 plated, and also had seven plated for the loss, 3.5 bags, two escaped recovery and interception.
He missed the last two games of the season due to a cerebral concussion suffered during the week 16 against the cardinals.
The Panthers have signed the former Rams Starter Christian Rozeboom on the first day of the Free Agency, and still have 2024 Trevin Wallace, 2024, with a starting experience.
They also have a group of young players, including Claudin Cherusus, Jacoby Windmon, the special team Jon Rhattigan and the recruits Bam Martin-Scott and Tuasivi Nomura.
