140,000 fans sign petition demanding cut scenes from ‘Stranger Things’

Dec. 28 (UPI) — More than 140,000 people have signed a petition on Change.org demanding scenes be cut from the fifth and final season of Stranger Things be released.
“We want never-before-seen footage of Stranger Things. I believe it was more related to the episodes and we haven’t seen it, not because of Netflix or the Stranger Things crew cutting it. It’s been a 10 year long process and this is what we’re getting,” poster Wenni J wrote in the petition.
“Everyone is clearly dissatisfied with this season,” the poster adds. “And also the amount of clues and information we got from the actors and interviews didn’t match the episodes provided. We want the Stranger Things to have a legacy and not be seen as a series that couldn’t make it because of its poor writing.”
Season 5 of the science fiction series set in the 1980s has been divided into three volumes.
Flight. 1 debuted on Thanksgiving, Vol. 2 premiered on Christmas Day and Vol. 3 – a long episode – is scheduled to be released on Wednesday.
