Pakistan leaves after Arshdeep Singh before Ind VS Final Pak, file a complaint against the “obscene gesture”

Before the Ind VS Pak Asia Cup final, Pakistan decided to file a complaint with the ICC against Arshdeep Singh
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) seem to have woken up a little late from their slumber as they have now decided to go after Arshdeep Singh. After lodging a complaint against Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for dedicating the win on September 21 to the victims and the families of the Pahalgam terror attack, the board has reportedly now complained against the India cricket team pacer. The complaint comes to the fore just before the IND vs PAK clash in the Asia Cup 2025 final.
Pakistan targets Arshdeep Singh next
As per news agency ANI, the PCB has lodged a plaint with the ICC over Arshdeep’s ‘obscene gesture’ that he allegedly made in India’s Super 4 clash. Pakistan have accused the pacer of bringing disrepute to cricket via obscene gestures he made towards the spectators, thereby allegedly violating the Code of Conduct. The PCB urged the ICC to take strict action on players who breached the Code of Conduct, forgetting that two of their players were fined and reprimanded respectively for the same thing.
Rauf was punished for gestures made and for the use of abusive language during the IND vs PAK Super Fours clash on September 21. He was involved in a verbal exchange with India’s openers, showed gestures to fans near the boundary, and was reported for abusive language. The ‘6-0’ and ‘plane’ gestures were also politically charged as Rauf tried to take a dig at the Indian soldiers. Reports on Saturday claimed that the PCB will appeal against the sanctions after it was claimed that PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi will pay the fine from his own pocket.
Sahibzada Farhan, on the other hand, was reprimanded for his ‘gun’ celebration after scoring a half-century in the game. Meanwhile, reports also claimed that the BCCI will also appeal against the verdict pronounced on captain Suryakumar.
