Pakistan announces the team for the 2025 women’s cricket World Cup

Pakistan Cricket Board announced a team of 15 members and 5 reserves not transported for the Women’s Cricket World Cup ICC

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka. The tournament, which begins on September 30, will see Pakistan women playing all their games at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo. India women will kick start the tournament on September 30 by taking on Sri Lanka at the Barsapara stadium in Assam’s Guwahati.

In a press release, the PCB stated that Fatima Sana would lead the 15-member squad in the Women’s World Cup, marking her first stint as the captain on the big stage. The board has named six players – Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqar and Syeda Aroob Shah – who will be taking part in the World Cup for the first time. Pakistan will lock horns with arch-rivals India on October 5 in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

The PCB has stated that the Pakistan women contingent will take part in a two-week long camp from August 29 before the series against South Africa which will take place between September 16-22.
