Padraig Harrington has a 2 -stroke advance at Senior British Open

Berkshire, England – Padraig Harrington birda the last hole on Saturday for another 5 -mine of 65 for a two -stroke advance on Justin Leonard entering the last round of the British Senior Open while the Irishman opts for his second senior major of the year.
Harrington was one of the four players who had at least a share of the head at one point during the round on the old Sunningdale course. He grabbed his head with stews the 13th and 14th hole, and a closing birdie added to his slight advance.
Harrington was 13 under 197. He was in the United Kingdom in the past three weeks for Links Golf, starting with the Open Scottish. He won the American Senior Open in Colorado a month ago.
Leonard, the only PGA Tour champions player to cup last week at The British Open in the Royal Portrush, also had a second consecutive.
Thomas Bjorn had a 67 and had three shots behind.
Harrington and Leonard went from British Champions Open – Leonard to Royal Troon in 1997, Harrington won the first of the two jugs of Claret a decade later in Carnoustie (2007) and Royal Birkdale (2008). One or the other can become the fifth player to win the British Open and the senior British Open, a feat accomplished for the last time by Darren Clarke in 2022.
Steven Alker, a double winner of the Charles Schwab Cup who opened with a 73, tried to return to the match. He drew 66 years and was one of the four players at 8 sous 202, five shots behind.
The winner is exempt from the 154th British Open next year in Royal Birkdale.
