Pacific provides a massive DCU camée

Welcome to the new DCU.
When James Gunn took over as an architect of a universe of films from DC Rémanié, he has piled up a high level of interconnectivity between projects, the film covering the film, television and beyond. Now, a massive The character of DC has come on the small screen thanks to season 2 of “Peacemaker”.
Just say that this article will contain spoilers From season 2 of “Peacemaker”, episode 6. Unless you have made your peace by spoiling yourself, go watch the episode, then come back here.
In the sixth episode of season 2 of “Peacemaker”, entitled “Ignorance is Chris”, we look at the consequences of Rick Flag Sr. (Frank Grillo) losing Peacemaker against the alternative universe, which leads him to a beautiful rever prison to ask for help. There is a leading expert in alternative dimensions in this new DCU – Lex Luthor (Nicholas Hoult).
Lex enters with the help of a rod after his beat at the end of “Superman”. It is disgusted to be locked up in a metal prison. He apparently purges a 265 -year sentence for what he pulled in “Superman”, but that does not prevent him from plotting for a way out.
Lex asks if a device that could identify the location of an open portal would be enough to get it out. Flag says there is no luck. However, he says that there is something that could interest Luthor – a chance of redemption.
To what this redemption is like this redemption is not clear, but since Gunn has already written a script for “Man of Tomorrow”, a sequel (releasing July 9, 2027) featuring the last son of Krypton who joined forces with Lex Luthor against a common enemy, it seems that this favor for the flag could help the villain and in this power.

Fans had hypothesized that Superman would appear at Camée during season 2 of “Peacemaker” for several reasons. To begin with, “Superman” and “Peacemaker” overlapped in filming, with the release of the steel man in 2025 (written and directed by Gunn) who shoots at the HBO Max series at the same time. This led to photos of David Corenswet with stars of “Peacemaker” like John Cena and Danielle Brooks who go to social networks. With Corenswet already present and in the costume, it seemed to be an easy feat for him to go to the whole “Peacemaker”.
It turned out that it was a bit of a bait and a change to get Hoult under the name of Lex Luthor in the mixture. Although there are two episodes, the cameo of the steel man could very well be at stake.
This cameo also marks Hoult to make a favor, in a sense. In “Superman”, Clark returns home after a confrontation with Lex Luthor to find negative coverage of himself in a right talk show organized by Cleaving Thornwaite (Michael Ian Black). Cena then appears as Peacemaker himself in the talk show, saying that he thinks that Superman thinks he is better than everyone because of his less violent heroism brand. This is one of the biggest appearances of “Superman” Camée, stressing how a handful of characters from the former DCEU (including the “Peacemaker” crew, Viola Davis as an Amanda Waller and Xolo Mariduña as Beetle Blue) went to the DCU with their intact actors.
Lex Luthor and Peacemaker are not the only characters to jump between cinema and television in the DCU so far. Rick Flag Sr. de Grillo appeared in the animated program “Creature Commandos”, as well as “Superman” and “Peacemaker” as a leading member of Argus, members of the Gang of Judge Green Lantern (Nathan Fillion) and Hawkgirl (Isabela Merced) appeared alongside the owner of the Max Lord team “. Aforementioned Cleavis Thornwaite made a brief appearance on “Peacemaker” after his cinematographic beginnings of “Superman”.
Season 2 of “Peacemaker” publishes new episodes Thursday on HBO Max.
