With a double from Mbeumo, Manchester United earns their third consecutive victory in the Premier League

The 2025/26 Premier League season brought a promising gift to Manchester United, who secured their third consecutive victory after beating Brighton 4-2 on Matchday 9. This success is largely due to the exceptional performance of Bryan Mbeumo.

The match played at Old Trafford began with a goal from Matheus Cunha in the 24th minute, who scored for the first time in his career for the Red Devils. Ten minutes later, Casemiro seemed to score the momentary two-zero and we would go like that until half-time of the match.

The second half began and in the 61st minute came the Cameroonian’s first goal. It all started with a recovery from Diego Dalot in midfield; He gave the ball to Benjamin Sesko, who justly allowed Bryan Mbeumo. The striker didn’t hesitate and fired a powerful low shot from outside the box, weaving through Lewis Dunk’s legs to beat the rival keeper.

After this goal came two goals from the Seagulls, the first from Dani Welbeck in the 74th minute and in stoppage time a header from Charalampos Kostoulas appeared which ended up in the net, it was preceded by a corner and everything indicated that the match would end there with a three by two which seemed more than fair.

However, in the final minute of the total, Dalot appeared to make a filtered pass from the midfielder, which Bruno Fernandes elegantly let pass for the ball to reach the feet of the Cameroonian, who headed alone in front of the frame and thus achieved his double in this match.

This goal meant the team’s third consecutive victory, something that only happened for the first time since the arrival of Rubén Amorim on the bench of the Red Devils, something that had not been seen in the institution since February 2025, when Eric Ten Hag was still leading them.
